Rotting Wooden Homes in the middle of nowhere?
25 November 2018
I watched a couple of these shows featuring nasty looking old wooden homes next to watery mudslides, and I was amazed anyone has the gall to film this garbage. More shocking were the prices, which were all above $420,000 for places that would likely be condemned in any major city.

When they showed the first wooden home, it looked like a barn. The big selling point is that you can see seals and whales in the water. So what? That would get really boring after a couple of weeks. Meanwhile, these nasty houses are in the middle of the sticks, and you have to climb up and down stairs and trails to bring the groceries into the home.

None of the probable issues relating to these rotting homes was ever addressed. I expected the homes to be around $100,000 based on the horrible conditions. As a buyer, when the host says $495K, a logical question would be, "Who is paying to fix the foundation, and to divert the stream that is going by the side of the house and destroying the foundation? None of the obvious issues are addressed. The buyers just walk in and shill for these homes, like Snow White at Disney World.
