Warning: Spoilers
I remember watching this as a kid and while it wasn't often I enjoyed it. Watching it now, I still think it holds up. The jokes are still funny, the animation's great, the atmosphere is awesome, and the characters really have good chemistry. How many of us weren't amazed by all the Disney characters sitting under one roof watching various shorts? Some old, some new. Speaking of which the shorts they showed were funny and clever as well. A good example is the episode Max's New Car. Obviously car themed, the plot's basically Max begging Goofy for a car, believing that he's responsible. Naturally, Goofy has his doubts as a concerned parent usually is.

With that being said Max and the gang do their best to convince Goofy that his son is responsible. Tying into this are shorts such as Mickey's New Car which satirizes the ups and downs of having a new car and to make matters worse this happens while Mickey's trying to pick up Minnie. Probably the best seen is towards the end when Goofy refuses to buy Max a car on the grounds that he's not responsible they proceed to play clips of an old short of his called Motor Mania where Goofy's at his worst behind the wheel. Embarrassed, Goofy tries to justify his actions by saying he was "young and foolish" which Minnie points out is like Max. Seeing the error of his ways Goofy reluctantly gets his son a car along with a parking lot. This could've been corny but the wit balances out with the heart of the message.

I don't know what else to say about this show. The voice actors do a good job and the animation really fits. Bottom line it's a great cartoon. This's how Disney cartoons should be. It was cancelled way too soon. Take it for what it's worth and make your own judgement.
