My first 10/10

Warning: Spoilers
I didn't even know about this movie until I saw it on amazon prime. Most reviews seemed negative (except imdb). However, once I saw the film I knew why. The movie takes a reverse gaze at caste issue, i.e. how reservations and affirmative action completely sideline the economically weaker among general category. The movie subtly shows that there is not even a single policy or welfare measure for those who don't fall under the purview of caste reservations. The protagonist is a person who tries best to make do of the situation and peacefully accepts it as how things work in the country unless systematic apathy and reverse discrimination take him to the absolute breaking point. The part where his wife is pregnant and he runs around with twins in his hand searching for a ventilator gave me chills! No wonder most media outlets driven by their political correctness and left wing bias thrashed this movie. This movie shows the hypocrisy of 'social justice'. Its a gem of a film and a very brave attempt. I'd like to see more from the director. 10 on 10.
