Review of Lethal Weapon

When I heard they were killing off Riggs due to personal issues behind the scenes with other co-stars, I have to admit I was upset because "Lethal Weapon" is a must watch for me. I have watched this show from the beginning. How could they continue by killing off the main character who was the "lethal weapon"? When I heard who was replacing Crawford I was skeptical I would continue my loyalty as a viewer and avid fan. However, I gotta admit that Seann has saved this show. His character, Wesley Cole, is awesome and better than Crawford's portrayal of Riggs. If I'm being honest, I was kind of put out with the over the top stunts the show was trying to pull off in the first season by trying to make the TV Riggs more "out there" than the movie Riggs by doing stupid stuff like walking on the edge of a building. Really? I've heard Wayans is thinking about leaving the show and ya know what? I'd still watch this show after he's gone. That's how good Seann William Scott is in this show. The supporting cast is one of the best on TV especially Scorsese who, in my opinion, deserves more screen time. The only criticism I have is I miss Brewster as the precinct's psychologist. I understand with Rigg's death it kind of leaves her character on hiatus but I hope they find a place again for her. I hope "Lethal Weapon" makes it to a fourth season or even continues if Wayans decides to leave. Maybe they could create a new partner for Cole or leave this show going with SWS doing the solo cop thing. But as a Wayans fan, I hope he decides to stay and the studio makes things more accommodating for him. Going after Barnes would be a great plot for Season Four but I picked up on how the song "Why Can't We Be Friends" played in the season finale mirrored the ending of "Lethal Weapon 4", the last installment in the movie series. Could it be the finale for the TV series as well? As I said before, "Lethal Weapon" is fantastic along with everyone who participates on the show. Seann's the best! Please keep it going!
