It is difficult to look past the most noticeable disappointment in this episode, which for me has to be Billy's scars. I feel sorry for Ben Barnes because he has to play a character who wants revenge for being heavily disfigured, when in reality Billy only has a few scars and his desperation to hide his face seems very exaggerated.
For a Netflix show, I'd have hoped they would have embraced this further and not held back like they did. I feel this will undercut the gruesomeness of season one's ending slightly upon re-watch. I can only hope I'm able to see past his underwhelming appearance as the season progresses.
