I liked Manifest...at first. Now....not so much. It's episode 13 and the show is becoming very drawn out, depressing, and redundant. The story/mystery is progressing at a snail's pace, while all of the super intense, brooding, humorless, (seemingly) half dead, white-washed (NSA director Vance was a little interesting...he sure did seem to die for no reason---...anybody seen Lourdes lately??) characters do rather uninteresting things throughout the episode....then out of the depths of monotony somebody goes emotional nova for about 13 seconds, then they talk about those 13 seconds for about 13 minutes.... Manifest in a nutshell is: Let's talk about it...extensively....but let's leave out really important details so we'll have to talk about it again... ie: *Detective says he's letting the crazy man that threw a brick through a window go...fails to mention he's putting tight surveillance on him. *Daughter says she knew about the callings...dad simply says he was trying to protect her...fails to mention why...because people that knew about the callings were dying. Zeke says he killed his sister...fails to convince me that he did literally kill his sister....no surprise he didn't literally kill his sister...After a certain point it's no longer drawing out suspense, it's just overplaying the suspense card. Manifest has become a show about a lot of people that have no idea what's going on...including it's viewers. Lackluster NO
