The show begins with the Chinese approaching a diplomat because they want something called the Forsythe memo. Instead of the diplomat, however, Erskine meets with the Americans working with the Chinese and pretends to be willing to sell them these secrets.
This is a decent episode of "The FBI" but it has one weakness. Inspector Erskine does undercover to infiltrate a Chinese Communist spy ring...but he's already been undercover several times on the show AND it seems likely he'd be identified right away as an FBI agent. Still, if you can look past this, it's a dandy episode in the series.
