Back To School, Jesse!
19 March 2019
Every show has their fair shares of story inconsistencies. In 'Full House' the two biggest ones are Jesse's name change and him suddenly being a high school dropout. The name change is understandable as John Stamos wanted to reflect some of his Greek heritage, but him not graduating from high school all of the sudden just seemed like the writers were out of ideas for a long-term story arc.

DJ and Kimmy are involved in their school's 'Stay In School' campaign. Since everyone in their family have cool jobs, it all seems fitting. But Jesse adamantly says no. He then confesses to being a dropout. He was one class away but his band was doing lots of gigs, he just got a new motorcycle, and his teacher was mean. So Jesse decides to go back and finish what he started. But the same mean teacher is his instructor and drives him away, again.

At this time, Michelle is having a hard time learning to tie her shoes. Her and Jesse are the same person. He is struggling with school and she is struggling with shoes. Both want to quit.

I get that this is an episode about perseverance, but the backdrop of it all caused this to come crashing. Despite some good coming out, an equal amount of bad was poured in.
