Pointless, plotless, but Berta Socuéllamos = 💘
24 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
"Deprisa, deprisa" translates in English as "Hurry, hurry", and this film should heed the advice of its own title; nothing happens for long sections. Carlos Saura seems to want to portray the "lost" youth generation of 1980s Spain, but he only reaches one point: the banal "crime does not pay". Berta Socuéllamos' extraordinary beauty (even with a fake mustache, she is so beautiful it is almost unfair) is the film's sole real virtue. * out of 4.
