Charming time traveling fantasy

Warning: Spoilers
Dan Haggerty TV's Grizzly Adams stars in Escape To Grizzly Mountain another story about time travel. His part is so similar to Grizzly Adams that the producers issued a disclaimer.

Young Miko Hughes rescues a mistreated bear cub from a flea bag circus that is owned by Cynthia Palmer, a woman you love to hate. Fleeing town he and the cub come to a mysterious cave which when Hughes puts his handprint into a carving of same on the cave well sends him back to 1841 and the Jacksonian era wilderness where he finds some Cherokee and a mountain man who is Dan Haggerty. The cub however stayed in the present and Palmer and her henchmen recapture him.

I really couldn't see why they were paying so much attention to a cub in which their title to him is shaky. Still these are villains who really don't need an excuse to be mean.

Hughes takes Haggerty back to the present and with the help of Nik Winterhawk a modern Cherokee they get the cub back to the wilds of 1841 where life will be a lot better for him.

I was quite impressed and charmed by the story and the sincerity of the players in this production. It's really great family entertainment.
