Review of Mother, Sister, Daughter

Emilia ( Charito Solis) and Pura ( Lolita Rodriguez) are half sisters. While Pura went abroad, Emilia stayed behind the sleepy town to take care of their father. When the father fell ill, Pura came home after 20 years to see him before he dies. At the first scene, we know already that Emilia was not happy about her half sister's comeback. Turned out they have bitter feelings about each other; not only did fight for their dad's love, but they also loved one man. And now, Emilia's daughter (played by Rio Locsin) is also being won over by Pura. Their silent war turned nasty towards the end when Emlia said, "...hanggang bakod ka lang, putik, putik, tulad ng ina mo!" ( You don't belong inside the house, you are mud just like your mother!) One of Brocka's melodrama that every avid fan should see
