The 40th Annual Tony Awards (1986 TV Special)
7/10
PRETTY ENTERTAINING
24 April 2019
Pretty entertaining, but Susan Anton (looking justifiably uncomfortable) and Stefanie Powers (who should have known better) had no business being there, on stage at least. Also, the stage blocking whereby stars hang around on stage waiting for someone to start talking or singing gets tiresome. Watching Dorothy Loudon doing a bit of song and dance to the song "Easy Street" from the musical ''Annie'' -- in which she debuted the role for which she would be best known and won a very well-deserved Tony Award, that of 'Miss Hannigan' -- was great.
