ThunderCats: The Sword of Omens (2011)
Season 1, Episode 1
1/10
An utter insult to a wonderful series.

Warning: Spoilers
It is obvious to me that anyone who rated this higher than a 4 has not watched the original. There is nothing about this Thundercats that even gives a lick of respect to the older version that it is based off.

Spoilers:

In the first nine minutes the story is vastly changed for no good reason. It is progression with no addition to the plot.

1. Snarf model vastly changed from a sentient weaker species to a feral cat species. Could've just changed their voice actor and lines... 2. Cheetara is a slum cat and a servant rather than of Noble hertiage, never mind not being an adult. 3. Tigra is somehow related to Lion-O in any way shape or form. Is smug has no redeeming qualities. Old Tigra was an engineer and designer at least. 4. Claudus is upset with his son? 5. Thundera apparently knows nothing of technology???? Yet somehow conquered all the other races on the planet...um how? No... 6. The sabertoothed guy was banished to third earth LOOOOOOONG before Thundera fell apart. On a space ship nonetheless. 7. The sabertoothed guy is bringing back ore with SLAVES.... the old thundercats fought against that in every shape and form. 8. Lion-O is basically 16 so when/if the planet gets destroyed will there even be a point to his journey through space taking away everything he knows? 9, Lion-O Definitely knows plenty about his Heritage, the old Thundercats were basically a way of training Lion-O and informing him about it. This is lost here instantly as Lion-O's combat training is obvious compared to the old series. 10. All of these problems happen in less than 10 minutes.

I am not saying that this series can not stand on it's own, I am saying that even comparing it is an insult to what it pretends to be, and it doesn't take even 10 minutes to be upset about it.
