History repeating itself
1 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Nikola Tesla was known to boast his claims, his ideas and new technical inventions by 'stage(d) shows', by fake and superimposed photography stunts in the media, by exaggerating the outcome of experiments, benefits, distances or even financial 'values'.It undermined his credibility and acceptance by serious scientists. Hence he never reached a true state of fame, tarnished his reputation, created the impression and aura of a 'mystic magician'. Same here - history repeating itself: This 'science soap opera' is following exactly the same footprints and methods, claiming more than it can deliver, selling simple physics tricks as 'sensational' discoveries, faking videos and repeatedly showing the same coil sparking (that's all you got, folks?). These engineers can't get ANY of the alleged (and most likely never really achieved) long distance effects to work. They have to replace the incandescent light bulb by a low-voltage LED lamp. The 'wireless' R/C boat is strapped by a cable to a receiver coil on the shore, a few feet away from the Tesla coil. Schoolyard physics games at best. Why search for the allegedly missing 20 trunks of Tesla in Colorado, where he had lived 40 years before all trunks were stored in NYC anyways? Travelling to Belgrade for what reason? Do you guys think that the Tesla museum does not know about the truth by itself? They construct conspiracy theories about the New Yoker hotel and its large power generator. Tesla will NOT have liked this machinery, because it was based on his arch enemy's (Edison's) DIRECT CURRENT (DC) system, useless for any of Nikola's AC studies. Journalistic hog wash. So many inconsistencies, wrong units (energy:power, voltage:current etc.), so much B.S. about trivial physics: YES, you need to stick a nail in the GROUND to close the circuit for wireless transmission of energy from the electromagnetic field by a Tesla coil nearby; surprised? Really?? What kind of scientists are you? This is a 'science soap opera' with no merit, no value, no use. It made a few semi-scientists rich, while contributing nothing but B.S. to the public.

My recommendation: get the audiobook of the Tesla biography, Listen to excerpts from his own diaries, from contemporaries, from media and other scientists. Then you will really understand the tragic life a a genius who had his quirks and inner demons all trough his lifetime. Who had great visions, but surprisingly many wrong theories and little understanding of the truth, about Maxwell's field theories, matter, energy, speed of light limitations to name a few.
