The Last Ship
Episode 5.05 ( 1 out of 5 stars).
This episode has really hit rock bottom for this season. And feels out of place with the storyline from the previous episodes. The story is all over the place and out of chronological order with the present time and past showing up simuatanously. Showing the crew of Nathan James dealing with their personal lives. Chandler having trouble dealing with his teenage daughter which plays a huge sequence of them arguing and the scene flashing towards Chandler being involved in a gun fight sequence. While they are trying escape with a kidnapped chief strategists. The episode has some poor lazy writing with the script. The two storylines really has no effect towards these characters and development. The story does not make sense. The direction was incoherent with plot holes and felt incomplete. The action also gets annoying with a heavy metal music score playing during a fire fight scene. Peter Weller direction really dropped the ball in this episode. That felt very much unneeded.
