I have never heard of "The Count of Monte Carlo" even with it's few film adaptations and it's original book. It was only recent that I found out its anime adaptation from Gigguk's video that is titled "The Best Revenge Story in Anime". Unfortunately i have to disagree with him on that, it honestly needed to be better to be a better revenge story in my personal opinion. The reasons for this is because the visuals were rather too colourful which honestly blinded me and the characters just were annoying. Even when the third episode which added a few more characters who turned out to be absolutely pointless. From that moment, I knew well it wasn't gonna work out for me to keep watching the whole series!
Maybe if the BL genre was added onto this anime just to give it a twist with just the 2 lads along with the count, it would be a lot more better. Especially with having less colours that you wouldn't always feel nauseous by! With the great reviews this anime has and having a great English Dub cast, I am disappointed that I didn't like it. I honestly thought i would join its fan club from its gorgeous poster cover but not this anime I'm afraid!
