I just seen this for the first time and it was quite an experience. I found it on DVD I was very lucky. The main reason I got it was because of Humphrey Bogart, I'm a very big fan of his. as usual he did a decent job as the main convict hope Pat O'Brien is trying to reform but an obstacle gets in the way in the form of boggart sister and Sheridan, Will O'Brien falls in love with. then there's the always great Barton maclane as they vicious guard that O'Brien replaces. Joe Sawyer place sailor boy went to Bogarts fellow convicts
