From the beginning of this, I did not ever expect a rival to Morse or Foyle's War, et al, but a sensible, entertaining, watch-able mystery within the obvious parameters.
By the end of Season 3, I spent no time pacing the floor awaiting the advent of the current season--of which I have now seen 3 episodes. Those 3 hours have transcended all episodes of the first 3 seasons for Schlock content, and have left in the dust my previous understanding of just how stultifying such drivel can be.
I think James Norton escaped to the U.S. because he had seen some of these scripts.........
