Beautifully adapted series. The books are so wonderful and these young actors have captured the essence of these young women growing up in a poor suburb in Italy. Sometimes hard to watch how women were treated, the dreadful patriarchy and the fight these girls had on their hands to deal with it and their attempts to escape it. The wedding scene had me in tears. I truly hope there will be a second season!
