Namak Haraam (1973)

Excellent movie with 2 of the best actors of the era

Two of the biggest actors Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh, the biggest stars of that era and both in author backed roles,

their acting and chemistry was so good and only the second time that we were fortunate to see them together on the screen,

the talented team of Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Gulzar who bring the two stars together for one last time

Panchamda, the country's greatest composer (who thanklessly was never ever awarded a National award and has won only 2 filmfare awards during his lifetime, how is that even possible I dont know) weaving magic with Diye Jalte hain, Nadiya se dariya and main shayaar badnam,

I remember seeing namak haram on tv during my school days and being mesmerised by the performance of the lead stars and their friendship depicted on screen. I never found AB better than khanna or vice versa, they were equally competent in their roles.

Just to experience the performance of these two superstars, it is a total must see.
