Laugh-In: Guest Starring Debbie Reynolds (1970)
Season 4, Episode 14
7/10
Debbie Reynolds returns to "Laugh-In" for a second time
2 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Debbie Reynolds makes her second guest appearance on "Laugh-In" once again participating in many of the show's sketches. The show salutes The Late Show (otherwise known as classic movies) and during the production number, I think that's Lily Tomlin doing the Jolson blackface impersonation since I didn't recognize her otherwise. If she remembered it, she would probably be ashamed of it now. The male cast members (with the exception of Dan Rowan and Arte Johnson) do the "news" theme with Debbie and while Ruth Buzzi and Ms. Tomlin appear at the news desk, that cuts quickly to Dan & Dick actually doing the news! Other celeb appearances are of Phyllis Diller, Rich Little, Bing Crosby, Bill Cosby, and Jack Cassidy. Oh, and William F. Buckley makes a cameo in anticipation of a future showcase on the show. The show is hit-and-miss as usual but this was still a pretty enjoyable one of "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In".
