The Ending of the Episode Alone is One of the Best Things in Dexter

Warning: Spoilers
I became a fan of this series about four years ago last month, having passed on watching it in 2013 when I bought the 1-5 box set. I didn't give it the chance it deserved, which is why I returned to it. By the fifth episode or so, I was completely hooked and this instantly became a favourite show of mine (and to this day, it's still in my top five!) and has become one of the few shows I could watch again and again (despite the lukewarm, mixed-bag of an ending).

So by the fourth season they're dealing with two serial killers at hand, Dexter being the one we all know from the start of course being the titular character of the series. The other, the "Trinity Killer," who, we soon learn, "kills in threes." I think acting wise John Lithgow portrays the character wonderfully, and can be absolutely terrifying at times. This episode has tension, a great build up, and a shocking cliffhanger. I have to say, the ending to this particular episode might be a top 10 of all time for me, of any series. The way it just.... happens, you know? Michael C. Hall and John Lithgow have good chemistry and their scenes of dialogue usually interest me, and it definitely makes for one of the best stories in the eight-season series as a whole. Before this, the best antagonist of the entire series for me was The Ice Truck Killer.

The episode is great, keeps you intrigued and by the end, you'll be at the edge of your seat! My eyes widened when the two of them started walking over to one another, I was almost in disbelief even though I expected such a thing (of some sort) to happen when the Trinity Killer gained access to the building with the name tag. I'm not even kidding when I say my jaw literally dropped (a little, not overly like in films and such though lol) when Arthur (Lithgow) let out the words, "Hello, Dexter Morgan".

Excellent if you ask me. One of my favourite episodes of the entire series; definitely makes the top 5-10.
