I thought they were going somewhere with this episode. At least if we found out the old guy had an immunity or there was something special about his blood that would lead to a cure, thus moving the story forward. But, no. It's just a waste of time, "you just gotta have faith" nonsense. It completely breaks the suspension of disbelief, when there's a guy who vampires ignore, but the whole town isn't camped out in his vicinity to stay safe. He's just there with his bible, not the Holy Vedas, because Christian propaganda must be pushed. Ridiculous.
