There are distinct shades of early Roger Corman here. The $25,000 dollar budget for a film set in a fantasy world leaves little room for a special effects budget. However the storyline is entertaining. Like many 1950s sci-fi i.e. Outer Limits etc...you need to look around the special fx rather than be drowned in them. That said, any role-player or fantasy fan who has ever dreamed of doing their own TV show needs to watch this and give these guys a high five for actually doing it. I hope this catches on and the budget goes up over time. Because there is a solid core idea here.
