Review of Saaho

Saaho (2019)
4/10
4 for stunt work. why is Prabhas looking sleepy 80% of the time.

Every stunt work was high octane , very well put together. The settings from all the fight scenes is borrowed from Hollywood with extra dosage of naive explosions. Color tones exaggerated and the audience will experience a mixed bag of colors every 20 minutes albeit the camera work being great. The depth of the underworld kings is sadly non existent, no backstories, they all look like props. Prabhas just keeps walking then running into bashing everyone in different modes of transport. Disgusting songs, wow kindergarten level lyrics on that. Shraddha Kapoor acts well and surely looking more fresh than Prabhas. He carried himself well as an action hero, but his face looked like it had CGI in some shots and other times had a sleepy look. All who's involved in the underworld organisation get worse and drown the confusing story even more with their robotic nature. Twists and reveals don't work at all, when the screenplay doesn't allow room for guess play. That and the editing between conversation is so poor. Arun Vijay models for suits and watches, Neil Nithin Mukesh probably best showed some work in his reactions. The director forgot half of the work needed for the story he wanted to convey. Happy for someone like Mandira Bedi to be looking more gorgeous than a lot of heroines .Jackie Shroff is wasted, should have worked with Prabhas's character and made it actually badass. This Saaho is so bad but ultimately showcases great action scenes and nothing else.
