Arrow: Present Tense (2019)
Season 8, Episode 4
9/10
The two time-lines have merged and with that comes one of the season's best episodes
6 November 2019
The future storyline have merged with the original storyline and that makes for some of the best dialogue of this season and we also get some nostalgia in a fresh way of the new Deathstroke which is the successor of Slade Wilson, his own son. There is a lot of memorable moments and nostalgic ones from season 2 which is my personal favorite. There is also a lot of character development in this episode, there's a lot of emotion and great acting across the episode and everyone did well both the original and future cast so the whole ensemble did some great work in this episode. There's a ton of references and I probably didn't catch them all.

Kristin Windell directed this week's episode and she didn't let down, instead giving us a great episode with lots of great scenes. There were only one thing that was lacking in this episode, it was the less focus of fight scenes which the show is known for. Instead we got some of the best drama of the season which I actually enjoyed a lot. It could have been better though with the fights being in one take like they usually are and not cut like they did here but other than that it was a great episode, that keeps us on our seat and gets us hyped for the next episode!
