Localised comedy

Warning: Spoilers
LITTLE & BIG WEAPON is a local crime comedy flick from the Philippines which is an open copy of the kind of buddy-buddy movie that was being made in Hollywood in the late 1980s. LETHAL WEAPON is an obvious inspiration here, with jokes about Mel Gibson and the like. The heroes are rather incompetent and bumbling throughout, prone to exaggerated bouts of acting, but nonetheless manage to get the job done. There's some real kookiness on display although not much in the way of action. If you like offbeat humour, dwarf dancing and pop culture references you might just get kick out of this one.
