*SPOILERS* Man, The Walking Dead season 10 has another fantastic episode. Angela Kang has truly been doing some amazing work these past 2 seasons. And The Walking Dead's very own Abraham, Michael Cudlitz has returned to direct another episode. 'Open Your Eyes' dives even deeper into Siddiq's PTSD from being the lone survivor of decapitation done by the Whisperers. I think they've really been doing a great job with portraying the aftermath. Watching Siddiq having nightmares, outbursts, losing sleep & now he has plunged into the pond in the middle of Alexandria, has truly been intense. It was nice seeing Gabriel & Rosita comforting him. I was a little upset with how Rosita has been acting with Siddiq considering she's now with Gabriel. Now let's get to the main point of this. Dante plays a decent role in The Walking Dead comics in the final 50 or so issues. So when I heard that he was going to be introduced into the show I was really excited. But of course he was nothing like his comic counterpart. The more we saw of Dante the less I trusted him. He seemed to be questioning Siddiq every step of the way. As soon as he arrived people started getting sick. Then they were dying, he killed 1 of the Whisperers they had captive. And finally we found out that he was the Whisperer that held Siddiq's eyes open to force him to watch his friends get decapitated by Alpha. As soon as Siddiq came to this realization he tried to run for a weapon, but was quickly stopped by Dante. He then slowly choked Siddiq to death. I truly did not see his death coming. Well I didn't until they showed an live ad for The Talking Dead; in which they showed Siddiq's actor Avi Nash with very short hair. Especially compared to his normal hair. So I knew the actor was going to have to die by the end of the mid season finale. So that was annoying to see that. That was a very random long rant, but The Walking has truly come back from the very low place they were in during season 8. They are doing some amazing work. Every episode has vee telling some truly compelling stories. I'm a little nervous that the mid season finale will fall short when following up an episode like this. But I have faith. Continue to do an amazing job The Walking Dead.
