Most unconventional late night show, now a legend
19 November 2019
Probably the most unconventional chat show on late night TV ever, with spontaneous dialogues, a gay talking skeleton robot and a dancing horse, Craig Ferguson was a king of improvisation that teared rules and conventions metaphorically and literally. Self-deprecating, unscripted, legendary conversation skills with women, he would often make fun of his bosses, his network, other networks, Hollywood. He did not even care to know a single thing about the movies/shows of his guests.

The show is no more but the comedy value is still there five years later, maybe now more than ever because there is nothing that compares even closely. It is Craig's inimitable style and charisma that makes the show unique, and the fact that in 2019 the dominant pc culture would not allow such a show to exist. I am sad I discovered it mere months before it ended and I still find myself watching compilations and interviews on YouTube.
