So I have a love-hate relationship with this show. This show is weird cuz it's good and bad at the same time! Like it's logical and illogical at the same time, cringy and edgy but serious and good quality at the same time, I don't know how to explain it! So this season is the reason why I changed my overall rating of the show that was 9 to 8 because something doesn't feel right about this season.
And I'm really disappointed with this finale, we finally get the fking Nightwing but it's not that much and the way they take Deathstroke out is really disappointing and I didn't like it. The whole season felt like they're dragging for no reason but they rush this last episode and it's really weird cuz they're closing all the storylines from 12 episodes in just 30 minutes so I don't know why did they pace the show like this. So BeastBoy is killing, eating and destroying everything in the park but when they go back to normal Connor says it's my fault and Garr is just standing there happy like he didn't do anything? Excuse me? what did Connor do there beside punching the tiger? All the mess was Garr's fault so why is Connor sorry for that? And then, the most laughable thing in the show happens, the thingy with electricity is falling down and Connor, that have always had a quick reaction to his surroundings now all of a sudden doesn't move and everyone are watching it fall and Donna is the one going to stop it but then dies due to the electricity. Like wtf was that? I was like "you seriously doing this?" I was laughing the whole time because of how stupid this was. I don't know why the writers felt they need to erase Donna but this was by far the worst possible way they could've done it! Like not only Connor does nothing in that scene it's like he's not even there! If this scene happened while Connor was still under control of CADMUS it would've made more sense Or even Conner killing Donna would've been so much better than this abominable way they chose to kill Donna. Also they take her body to the airport and Rachel is like "Are they gonna take her to Themyscira?" what kind of dumbsht writing is this? And they had all this time but never Raven wanted to try to heal her, and now that they're taking her to Themyscira she's gonna try her luck? can this show get more stupider?
And overall if you think about it this season is way similar to the first one, with all joining and departing and the mind control in the finale.
We can also talk about how Bruce hack CADMUS system at the last second when Garr had already ate half the people there but this is nothing compared to.... you're not gonna believe what it is...
So in the few first episode of this season Conner gets out but Mercy is able to get him with Kryptonite bullets. So they work on him for few weeks and now they can control his mind. But Dick is able to free Conner and what Mercy does now? Yes "fire everything you have" and not one of them is a Kryptonite bullet or the Kryptonite net they captured him with. So no need to explain how dumb this is you can already see what I'm saying.
I'm just really hoping they get better writers for the next season cuz this wasn't good enough.
