Everything about this show was amazing, the candlelit atmosphere, the emergence of a fragile Layne, the haunting lyrics that were leant weight by Layne, his body looking like it was already failing him but his voice still that of an angry angel.
I'll always remember first listening to this on cassette, walking through the rain with my Walkman. I'll always remember the hope that Layne would get better one day, but that wasn't to be.
The rest of the band look grateful Layne made it, and that they might have been aware this was close to their swan song with their struggling singer.
