I've read this history. Danger Close, oddly, is almost exactly as I read it. It's a brilliant war movie, balancing believable characters with lots of believable action. Similar movies might be Kokoda (2006) or We Were Soldiers (2002), the latter being probably the only American Vietnam movie of which one could draw comparisons. Highly engaging from the outset, beautifully filmed, wonderful action, and the bonus 10 points. ... it's all absolutely true.
