Humongous (1982)

Better than average Canadian horror flick
13 December 2019
This is a pretty decent horror flick from the freezing north (Canada, where I'm from)... Canada actually released a few good/great horror flicks in the 70s and 80s (good being the likes of "Prom Night" and "Terror Train"... great being "Black Christmas")... this one was always trashed for being "too dark to see what's going on" on the Beta/VHS, so to see this film properly you have to see the "Scorpion DVD or Blu Ray" version which drastically enhances the picture... lots of bad reviews of this film on IMDB are based on the "very hard to see what's going on" VHS version, so it would be interesting to see what IMDB score this film would have if it were solely based on the enhanced version.

DVD/Blu Ray also has footage that was cut from said VHS version, which is a definite bonus if you like this film... otherwise, it doesn't make the film much better for those who don't like this sort of thing.
