Carefully crafted storylines and beautiful cinematography
20 December 2019
This show is a hidden gem. Each season the storylines become more compelling and more complex as the writers weave in and out of old storylines and develop each and every character in this fictional world. This show has breathtaking cinematography and a beautiful soundtrack in addition to great acting by the leads and secondary characters. While the first two episodes of season one were slower paced and sad at times, they were necessary to depict the tragic life of a young orphan girl. With the introduction of the school children and more secondary characters in episode three the pace picks up and the foundation is laid for this story. This is a wonderful coming of age tale of a young woman,Anne, played by the talented Amybeth McNulty and the impact she has on her small town.
