Life's A Beach

Warning: Spoilers
Stunning performance from Tyne Daly as we see Mary Beth struggle with life in this episode. Her scenes on the beach are sometimes sad to watch, her seemingly aimless wandering is distressing at times but everything is expertly performed by Daly. It's also nice that we get to see Mary Beth somewhere other than her home or doing something work related.

John Karlen also gives us a fantastic performance with Harvey snapping in the squad room and his sheer desperation in trying to find his wife.

Sharon Gless also gives us some touching scenes with Harvey as they try to figure out what is wrong with Lacey and where she could be.

Of course there are also some lighter moments. Cagney as a Nun is hilarious.

I think the show always managed to get the balance between drama, realism and comedy moments just right.

The case in this episode may play second fiddle to the Lacey storyline but it is still an interesting whodunnit.
