The Voice UK: Blind Auditions 1 (2020)
Season 9, Episode 1

Perfectly cheery, but...

Warning: Spoilers
While it cannot be denied that 'The Voice UK' is a more attractive prospect than 'The X Factor' (and all it's various spin-off's) these days, equally it cannot be ignored that the show as yet has not produced one really significant winner (other than Tom Jones, who seems to have had a career revival off the back of it).

So it does feel a bit unrealistic to hear the coaches say they're going to find a mega star, when all these years later they haven't been able to.

Yet it remains cheery fare. Nobody is booed, nobody is made to look like the joke act, it's all perfectly entertaining.

We have the enthusiastic Meghan Trainer replacing Jennifer Hudson (who after 'Cats' might be looking to make a quick return), but other than that it's same old, same old.

And until 'The Voice UK' finds a credible artist, who goes onto mega stardom, I think it will be.
