9-1-1: Lone Star (2020– )
4/10
Just not realistic or a procedural

Warning: Spoilers
This is only based on the first episode but this show is ridiculous. Compared to a show like Chicago Fire, 911 Lone Star is a clown show with pretty people dressing in uniforms and looking concerned. The fire house looks like a random building/prop on the outside (how is a ladder truck suppose to exit that building on a run?) and a high end hotel on the inside with a bathroom with fancy fixtures - and the place is sooooo clean. Tax watch dogs would have a field day if that was an actual city firehouse. How likely is it that any real fire department let's immediate family work on the same truck?

The rescues are secondary to the soap opera aspect and they call the show a procedural but they avoid actually showing the whole rescue.

The need to have an inclusive cast just seemed too forced - not wrong - just too on the nose. I doubt they would let a Captain recruit outside the city for crew members.

The show comes off as a cheap attempt to have a fire department show
