Tesla was really good, everything else average

Warning: Spoilers
His accent and overall performance was just amazing, especially when you consider the same person wrote the companions lines. Other than that just basic historical figure episode, similar to the Shakespeare code in some ways. Ending was fine, really nothing at all to complain about. Felt the using people's images and scanning earth was bordering on to high tech, but it's acceptable

However, the use of these aliens feels out of place. In other historical figure episodes (which only occur up to season 5) the monster would have a link to the figure or the period surrounding them. The ghosts with Charles Dickens, for example. Even the van Gogh one could be linked by the the fact the monster is unseen by everyone, like the beauty in his paintings at that time. But some random spider scavengers hunting down an underappreciated electronic scientist? They just didn't match up at all. If they used some like electric monster, or anything to do with that time it would have been a cleaner episode. Also the chase scene was purely for show and the trailer, as it is so unrealistic they could out run those things. I know they bashed into each other, but still.

Also the doctor knew to much. Like would just state plot points out of nowhere.
