Amazing story written by Nisha Sabharwal, based on teenage Indira, who's found herself torn between true love and the duty to follow through with an arranged marriage. It's a romantic film set agaisnt the background of the struggle three generations of women in male dominated 1930's British India. There is mystery and mysticism in the story as well. Through Indira's heartbreaking journey to self discovery, long held secrets come to light as she discovers the strength within herself to break free. The film showcases the inner workings of an affluent, sophisticated, western educated Indian family, providing Hollywood with its first look at aristocratic India.
