This lovely film tells the story of three children - two sisters and their brother - who run away from Whitby with a couple of donkeys. They're looking for their mother, and trying to escape from their deeply unpleasant uncle. They walk across beautifully-shot Yorkshire landscapes, encountering quite a few difficulties on the way.
I was reminded of Kes and Detectorists, mixed in with a bit of Dickensian darkness. Recommended.
