I sort of liked this when I first started watching. I liked the zany narratives that could go anywhere, I thought Dan was a distinctive character that we don't got too much of and it was refreshing to see someone actually succeed in their revenge plots. I like seeing people succeed in revenge when they're genuinely wronged.
Dan may be a clownish character who takes a lot of things way too seriously but he's oddly sympathetic as a little man who was never designed for the world we presently have.
What made this show less and less fun to watch was constantly seeing Dan inconvenience his friend. Lucille over stays her welcome quite a bit too. It's not that the formula got old, it was just annoying to see Dan (who is always so ungrateful) drag around the other guy at the latter's great expense (whether monetary or otherwise).
I'll get to watching it one day and even then, this is a once in while show, not something to make a regular thing.
