This film ignores the real scandal. The Bush administration agreed to settle this class action with an $8 billion dollar settlement, given to the actual 500,000 Native American individuals who were heirs lost value from the federal land grabs the case centered on.
Instead Cobelle participated in a giant RIP OFF, where she agreed with Obama administration to not only slash total given to victims in what would fall to $1.4 billion, but also to give it in large part to "organisations" that in no way were harmed by the land grabs. Those organisations were big Obama supporters, wow, what a surprise!
Under the Bush plan the affected individuals would have gotten about $15,000 each. Under the Obama plan then got under $2,000 each. No wonder Obama gave her the "Presidential Medal" she was as bad as the tribal chiefs who sold millions of acres for whiskey!
