'My dear fellow, there is simply absolutely nothing half as worth doing as messing about in a boat.'

I may have a totally biased opinion on this one as it's a much cherished childhood movie but it stills holds up to this day! Based on the classic novel by Kenneth Grahame and adapted for the screen by Terry Jones who writes, directs and also stars as Mr Toad, the story follows a group of animals; Mole (Steve Coogan), Rat (Eric Idle) Badger (Nicol Williamson) and of course Mr Toad, in the aftermath of a gang of nasty weasels destroying Mole's underground home. With the landlord being Toady, he needs convincing back onto the straight and narrow to help his friends and get over his obsession with motor cars.... 'POOP POOP!' Watching this again recently, it still looks lovely with great character props and scene decoration. It's clearly made with a lot of passion for the source material while also injecting a healthy dose of silliness! Genuinely funny, charming and a wonderful musical as a nice cherry on top
