Review of App War

App War (2018)
7/10
Start off good but the ending is way too rushed.

Warning: Spoilers
The first hour and a half contains what would be called a "company espionage+romance" relationship entanglement. The movie itself explains technical stuff in lay man's term quite well, usually comparing a backend focused app development team and a frontend focused app development team. They are both in track for Serie A investment but, due to the nature of Serie A investor, only one may prevail victorious. After some major espionages and a couple of protagonists' lover misunderstandings making the backend team victorious, the movie cuts to some unknown board of directors meeting room ( Which the movie said happens 1 year later ). Both the female protagonist and the male protagonist instantly reconcile in that room together and adjust each other misunderstandings. The movie then ends within that mediocre 15 minutes. Why is it mediocre you ask? Because the movie didn't try to explain anything about what the new company is or what part does it play in "App War"? Even the audience wouldn't know about what happened after the backend team wins the Serie A investment. If it wasn't for this 15 minutes, I would give it a 9.
