Not bad but that's about it
2 March 2020
I'm a big fan of short binge-worthy series I can get through within an evening but I found it difficult with this one. I think it may have been due to me continually comparing it to Sex Education with which there is no competition - Sex Education trumps this completely. Admittedly I'm probably being foolish comparing the two, but the similarities are difficult to move away from; an unlucky-in-love teen struggles with getting older and we see the main character have sexual experiences and friendship issues, sound familiar?

Other than that it is a happy programme and it is a series capable of zooming through within a few hours (each episode is about 20mins long). The acting is pretty good, characters are likeable (although I find Sydney irritating) but 10/10 for Wyatt Oleff who plays Stanley superbly - by far my favourite character.

Overall, it's a series that I could put on in the background and likeable characters, but for me it's not very memorable and the similarities to Sex Education makes me think they're trying to copy the success by introducing a similar story. If a second series comes out I would probably watch it, but nothing which will get me too excited. 5/10
