Champagne (1928)
5/10
Unimpressive Hitchcock
22 March 2020
The film was restored with secondary filmed stock (technically called second negative) that was discarded, while the original version of the film was lost.

The only exceptionally good shots are the shots taken though drinking glasses (wine or champagne glasses) at the beginning and the end of the film.

The performers are average. The end of the film is not creditable to Hitch but more due to the strength of the from story written by Walter Mycroft, from which the film was adapted.
