It's the show, Deputy, all over again. Why is there so little effort put into the authenticity of current police shows? There used to be a great show called Southland that had great writing, acting, and stayed pretty realistic - there's a current show called Bosch that stays pretty realistic - so I know there are writers capable of creating authentic police dramas somewhere in Hollywood. In a day and age where everyone has seen the TV show, Cops, don't people expect some realism in cop shows?
Eddie Falco is, of course, great. All of the acting is good, which I expected and why I was looking forward to this. But the writing, the stories and the depiction of cops is so wrong I couldn't enjoy it.
