Unrealistic for this series, but very funny

Kfo9494 has written a nice review of what happened. I will focus on selected elements.

There is, in the Hogan's Heroes world, no logical reason why Hogan and Kinch had to spend so much of this episode trying to convince Schultz to impersonate Klink to get the 3 prisoners back to Stalag 13. It would have been much easier for Hogan to pose as Klink and let him do it--later on in the series he impersonated Klink at least a few times. It also stretches believeability to think that Klink wouldn't notice that three men normally standing next to Hogan at roll call were missing for a few days. Schultz's count is only for 15 men each day, so Klink should notice these three not there. But the whole situation is to get to see Schultz learning to be tough, and not take "no" for an answer as he demands the return of his (Klink's) prisoners. On this note, John Banner does a tremendous job at playing his role. He provides most of the laughs in this episode. While I pointed out how illogical main points were, I do not criticize a show such as this for being illogical. It's not Perry Mason. The important thing is that it made me laugh.
