Review of A Woman of Substance

Just my genre, I love historical dramas. Im guessing this must have been Jenny Seagrove's heyday as her acting career seems to have passed me by. "A Woman of Substance" is a title I have heard many times over the subsequent years so have understood it to be a "classic". I was not disappointed. Jenny Seagrove is "strong" in this character, very well played. She does seem to have rather more than her fair share of admirers and marriage proposals over the years and who wouldnt have their head turned by the lovely Barry Bostwick whose face was a staple in many American television programmes when I was young. The tale of a poor girl dun good and an example of what determination and hard work can achieve....but does it ever bring you total happiness. Would watch it all again :-)
