Stuck at home due to the Covid crisis I watched both Marr's British history programmes.
Marr's eccentric presenting style and slightly left of centre view might upset some people but taken as a whole the series was excellent.
But some of the stuff covered was odd. Most people never cared about the theatre stuff. He ignored the 1970 Tory party Selsdon man and the 1974-1979 Labour governments,and the role of the far left and far right in the 1970s. I doubt Margaret Thatcher nee Roberts did not have an indoor toilet while growing up. But really the series is very good,some great clips and if you are not going to read books a great introduction to modern British history
